Whether tweaking her assignments to be more accommodating to student wellbeing and mental health needs, or threatening to tell inattentive students who dies next in Game of Thrones, Professor Jennifer Goodnough is passionate about motivating, mentoring, and improving outcomes for students. Evidence of her strong commitment to students and education is prominent both in her professional and personal lives.

When I first contacted Dr. Janet Ericksen, she was just finishing up leading a study abroad program to England, entitled “Life in a Medieval City: Literature and Culture in York, 700-1500.” The program is close to her heart-- learning Old English and visiting medieval sites while studying in the UK during her junior year as an undergraduate was one of the things that inspired her to pursue a doctorate in medieval British literature. Click on the title to read the full story.
