P&A Brown Bag: Leading Up

“Leading up” is an important leadership skill employed to accomplish tasks that are in the best interest of our organization and requires influencing the people above you. In this session, leadership expert Lisa Warren, assistant vice president for Research, will provide an overview of the skills necessary and tools available to help you in this area. Public Hearings on Proposed Changes to Civil Service Employment Rules

When I first contacted Dr. Janet Ericksen, she was just finishing up leading a study abroad program to England, entitled “Life in a Medieval City: Literature and Culture in York, 700-1500.” The program is close to her heart-- learning Old English and visiting medieval sites while studying in the UK during her junior year as an undergraduate was one of the things that inspired her to pursue a doctorate in medieval British literature. Click on the title to read the full story.

Faculty Senate to Discuss Liberal Education

The Twin Cities Delegation of the Faculty Senate will hold the first of a series of meetings on potential revisions to Twin Cities undergraduate liberal education requirements on Thursday, October 5th, 2017, from 2:30-5:00 p.m. in 25 Mondale Hall.

She is a second-generation University employee (her father, Jerry Sexton, worked in a department known as “Videotape” at the time) as well as an alumna, having earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Spanish at the University.
