New Proposed Revisions to the Civil Service Employment Rules

The Civil Service Consultative Committee (CSCC) and Employment Rules Subcommittee have proposed revisions to the Civil Service Employment Rules. These changes will ensure compliance with the new Title IX regulations.

Two public hearings will be held in order to hear constituent feedback on the proposal.

The Civil Service Consultative Committee (CSCC) and Employment Rules Subcommittee have proposed revisions to the Civil Service Employment Rules. The revisions are available HERE.

 

Two public hearings will be held in order to hear constituent feedback on the proposal. Hearings will be held via Zoom on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. and 3 p.m. Zoom information for both hearings is below (please note: there are two zoom links, one for each meeting).

P&A Senate Outstanding Unit Award 2019

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2019 Outstanding Unit Award! The Award recognizes a University unit (department, center, institute, college, etc.) judged to be exemplary in its support of P&A staff and the critical role P&A employees fulfill in carrying out the University’s mission. The winning unit receives a $1,000 professional development grant. Any unit employing P&A staff is eligible to apply. Units that previously received the award must wait three years before applying again. A complete set of guidelines is available, along with information about past award winners. Two one-hour public hearings will be held via WebEx in order to hear constituent feedback on the proposal. Hearings will be held on January 9, 2019 at 8:00 a.m., and January 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.

The Civil Service Senate Communications and Outreach Subcommittee will be hosting a brown bag session for Civil Service employees regarding the different kinds of employment leaves including: FMLA, sick, and vacation. Please join us for this event to learn more about how you can use these different leave benefits.
