ROTC Subcommittee (ROTC)

Under the general direction of the Senate Committee on Educational Policy, the ROTC Subcommittee shall advise the Senate Committee on Educational Policy and the University administration on the ROTC programs and make recommendations it deems appropriate to the committee or the administration.

Classroom Advisory Subcommittee (CAS)

The Classroom Advisory Subcommittee (CAS) is a standing subcommittee of the Educational Policy Committee. CAS is an advisory group for the Office of Classroom Management in the execution of its broad responsibilities as the single point of contact and responsibility for all classroom issues.

Senate Committee on Educational Policy (SCEP)

The Senate Committee on Educational Policy (SCEP) makes recommendations concerning educational policy (e.g. grading, distance education, calendars, instruction, classrooms). The Classroom Advisory and ROTC Subcommittees report to SCEP.

Disabilities Issues Committee

The Disabilities Issues Committee recommends University policies, procedures, programs, and services concerning faculty/academic professionals, students, staff, and guests of the University with disabilities.

All-University Honors Committee

The All-University Honors Committee solicits, reviews, and recommends nominations for various University honors including, honorary degrees, Outstanding Achievement Awards, Awards of Distinction, Alumni Service Awards, and honorific namings of significant University assets.

The Health Sciences Student Consultative Committee (HS SCC) represents the graduate, professional, and undergraduate students and not the individual institutes, colleges, schools, or departments within the Health Sciences.

Faculty Advisory Committee on the Health Sciences (FACHS)

The Faculty Advisory Committee on the Health Sciences is concerned with all matters relevant to Health Sciences and not solely the individual institutes, colleges, schools, or departments within the University of Minnesota

Academic Freedom and Tenure Committee (AF&T)

The Academic Freedom and Tenure Committee (AF&T) is responsible for all matters of policy related to academic freedom and faculty tenure, including Board of Regents Policy: Faculty Tenure. The Academic Freedom and Tenure Committee reports to the Faculty Senate and does not deal with individual disputes.

Civil Service Employment Rules Subcommittee

The Civil Service Employment Rules Subcommittee reviews and maintains the Civil Service Employment Rules (Rules), recommends interpretations of the Rules to the Civil Service Consultative Committee, and manages the rules revision process.

Civil Service Compensation and Benefits Subcommittee

The Civil Service Compensation and Benefits Subcommittee broadly represents civil service employees in the governance processes at the University in the areas of compensation, job classification, employee benefits, and the University’s organizational goals.
